Dr. Emin Lelić received his doctorate from the University of Chicago, where he defended his dissertation on science and empire in the Ottoman Empire. His interests include calligraphy, Ottoman and European history and literature, and horseback riding. He is currently an Associate Professor of history at Salisbury University.
